This programme has been developed by academics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University of London, regarded as an international centre of academic excellence and innovation in the social sciences. The degree will prepare students for a career in information systems management or management consultancy specializing in IT and IS as well as to more advanced academic study.
The course aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of how organizations and societies use and exploit new information and communication technologies (ICT).
Programme Structure
The degree consists of 12 units and each unit will be delivered over 15 weeks with 30 contact hours.

Assessment
Each full unit will be examined by one three-hour unseen written paper. Each half unit will be examined by one two-hour unseen written paper. Examinations by written paper will take place on one occasion each year, normally commencing in May.
For units Introduction to information systems and software engineering: theory and application coursework/a project also counts towards the assessment. Unit Research Project in Information Systems is assessed by a project only.

Entrance requirements
In order to satisfy the entrance requirements for the BSc Accounting and Finance, you must:
- two subjects at GCE 'A' level, plus at least three further subjects at GCSE or GCE 'O' level (at not less than grade C or above) or
- three subjects at GCE 'A' level (with one 'A' level at not less than grade D) or
- three subjects at GCE 'A' level and one further subject at GCSE or GCE 'O' level (at not less than grade C) or
- two subjects at GCE 'A' level, plus two further subjects at GCE 'AS' level.
*Applications will be considered from applicants who do not meet the normal minimum age requirement for admission. Each application will be considered on an individual basis, and the decision taken at the discretion of the University of London. |
Fees
The course fee is Rs 100,000 per year, payable at the beginning of each academic year.
